In December 2016, our own ESR 3, Daniel Price, was awarded The Salters’ Graduate Award, a national UK prize awarded to 5 chemistry graduates nationwide, for achievement in their MChem degrees and for their "potential to contribute in the future to leadership in the UK chemical industry".
This prestigious annual event held at Salters’ Hall celebrates high levels of excellence within the science education sector. Daniel, who wrote his thesis on "The controlled release of doxorubicin from novel biodegradable polymer systems" states "Receiving the award was a great honor, after taking the next step starting my PhD in industry at Merck Group as part of the PEARRL project this year, I hope I can live up to the awarding committees great expectations and justify them selecting me as I progress in my career, here's to the future!". |
We would like to take this chance to congratulate Daniel on receiving the Salters’ Graduate Award and look forward to what his research and contributions throughout the PEARRL project will bring.
