Marina, Georgia and Christina invited one high-school to visit the Department of Pharmacy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens on the 1st of March 2018. Boys and girls were invited, but special emphasis was given to encouraging girls to pursue studies and future careers in science.
| Prof. Reppas made an introduction to the undergraduate pharmaceutical studies and an overall review of the Department, giving emphasis to the ongoing research activities and encouraging the students to consider a pharmaceutics or scientific career. Prof. Vertzoni continued, introducing the research opportunities supported by the European Union, using the example of MSCAs and PEARRL. Georgia (ESR 4), Christina (ESR 7), and Marina (ESR 11) presented their Info-PEARRLS videos, discussed on their projects and their every-day life experience during their graduate studies. A short visit to the Laboratory of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics also took place in the end of the day. |  |
