Felix will develop novel types of supersaturating drug delivery systems. A focus is on amorphous solid dispersions in special polymeric hybrid matrices that are prepared by hot melt extrusion. The specific molecular interactions with poorly soluble drugs are studied and promising bio- enabling formulations are selected for additional characterization in vitro and potentially also for in vivo studies.

Scientific Background
|
Felix Ditzinger became interested in science during an internship at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute in San Diego, USA. He then studied pharmacy at the Johann Wolfgang von Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 2011 to 2016.
Felix finished his first and second state exam in pharmaceutical sciences in 2013 and 2015, respectively. His third will be completed in 2016. During an internship at Sanofi Aventis in 2016, Felix developed different analytical methods for new compounds by using HPLC technology. |
