Laura will develop biorelevant in vitro models for the pig that improve interpretation of preclinical results and comparatively evaluate the suitability of the ‘pig’ model for predicting formulation behaviour in humans and will develop improved PBPK in silico ‘porcine’ models that take account of species-specific factors.

Laura studied pharmacy at the Goethe University of Frankfurt, Germany (2011-2015). She then completed internships at Corden Pharma, Plankstadt, Germany, where she worked in the area of quality control and analytical development. Moreover, Laura gained experience as an intern at Merck Group (also beneficiary in PEARRL), focusing on risk and inspection management in the context of quality assurance.
