As part of PEARRL we had the opportunity of getting three months experience in the regulatory environment within the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) in Dublin. HPRA is the national competent authority that regulates human medicines, veterinary medicines, medical devices and other health products in Ireland. We were the second PEARRL students in the HPRA after Felix Ditzinger and Niklas Koehl, who worked at the HPRA at the beginning of this year.

Recently, our PEARRL Principle Investigator Professor Jennifer Dressman was interviewed by Dr. Suzanne Minton at Certara on her research in biopharmaceutics.

As part of PEARRL’s strategy to encourage participation of women in science and to inform male and female pupils and teachers about career opportunities in the field our ESRs Christina Pentafragka (ESR7) and Patrick O’Dwyer (ESR10) collaborated with their local secondary schools to introduce the PEARRL Project and explain to all interested students and teachers what it is all about.
